Myself & @jackrogerspt got put through a very demanding conditioning day today by @glen_velocity and I'll be posting more stuff up throughout the week. Key thing I took away from today apart from apart from muscle soreness was the variation you can have with conditioning. It can be simple as fuck but it has to fit your overall purpose of including within the session. Thanks for today Glen... When our corporate client recently asked me to help them design their new gym, one of their first questions was, “what are the top 2-3 pieces of must-have equipment?” To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of most fitness machines as I think you can build the body you want by sticking primarily with dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, and bodyweight movements. With that said, over the past decade, I’ve researched and tried hundreds-of pieces of equipment and found that there are a few that far and away deliver the best results. I’d put the VersaClimber near the top of that list. What I love about it is that you get a full-body workout where you can adjust the resistance and the length of each stroke based upon your fitness level. There’s zero impact making it easy on your joints, unlike the treadmill and other pieces of equipment. And it has you on your feet and standing up which is ideal since most of the people I train sit at a desk all day and the last thing they should be doing is sitting down more either on a bike or on another machine. Most importantly, it is incredibly time-effective as several sets of just 30 second sprints followed by a brief recovery will incinerate calories and burn fat unlike any other machine I’ve ever used. In fact, a study from the Washington State University found that subjects’ maximal heart rates were higher when doing Versa Climber intervals compared to running intervals on the treadmill or rowing machine. If you don’t have access to a VersaClimber at your gym, you can’t go wrong by climbing up a hill or running up flights of stairs.
